In this webinar “The roots of a great digital learning project” we will explore how to get started with digital learning.

 

Sprout Labs is trialling a new webinar format that we’re calling ‘open labs’. They focus on discussion and sharing between participants. The first one will be a discussion on the 70:20:10 concept and TAFE.  

The conversation will be structured to explore the following questions.

Learning while working doesn’t just happen. The “70” in the 70:20:10 model needs to be designed. When we speak with learning and development professionals they often want to know about solutions that have worked elsewhere. But each organisation's context is different and requires a different learning approach. What is really needed is new ideas. In our webinar Designing the “70”: Design thinking and the 70:20:10 learning model we will explore how design thinking can be used to generate new ideas and new approaches to designing on-the-job learning.

 

The design, development and delivery of 70:20:10 blended learning programs presents a unique mix of challenges. They often involve a complex mixture of digital technologies, change management and culture management.

 

Evaluating the impact and effectiveness of learning programs is often difficult and controversial. At Sprout Labs we have repeatedly found that well designed evaluation of learning programs can help to strategically drive success in programs build with the 70:20:10 model.

Communities of Practice are decades old - in fact possibly one of the oldest ways of learning. However in our highly connected world, they provide new challenges to foster, extend and transfer learning in organisations. We often ignite Communities of Practice in our strategic learning programs.

 

 

In my conversations with Learning & Development Professionals, I hear that they want to be catalysts for change in their organisations, however change is not easy in practice. The potential for us to change the Learning Culture in our organisations, and improve performance is still there, so….
